LATAM Sales Representative

Responsible for sales in Latin America. Develops and implements the Latin America Sales & Marketing plan, to achieve the business goals of expanding the company's base and market share in Latin America. Works with company business team to achieve revenue goals, margin & profitability goals, and customer satisfaction goals for Latin America business. Identifies potential distributors and end-users throughout Latin America, and introduces to them the company, and product portfolio. Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals, market search, telephone canvassing, face-to-face, cold calling, on business owners, direct mail, e-mailing, and networking. After training becomes proficient in the company's "Solution Selling" process. Routinely uses the "Solution Selling", process to obtain new customers in Latin America for company to increase revenue.

Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge for company's product portfolio. Manages the existing customer base and newly acquired customer base in Latin America, from lead generation through to the commercial close. Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations to achieve sales orders. Ensures that annual revenue and margin goals are met or exceeded. Demonstrates the ability to conduct a business conversation with business owners and decision makes in the Spanish language.

Demonstrates the ability to influence customers in Latin America to buy from company. Coordinates with the company business and the Latin American customers to oversee and manage customer orders, shipments, and payments. Manages the investigation and resolution of quality issues. Works to maximize customer satisfaction.
Demonstrates the ability to gather, submit, and report on detailed business information including orders, pricing, monthly sales, competitor information, quality issues, product inventory levels,
new trends or products in the market, and changes in the customer’s business.

Coordinates with company Sales Management to establish and enforce a company Latin American pricing strategy. Reviews detailed price and margin analysis for the company Latin American business, and monitors competitive market price trends.
Coordinates the launch of new products for company in Latin America to ensure that product codes, product pricing, and customer codes are properly set up in the company's sales computer system.
Adheres to all Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Knowledge base of the meat and/or wood/industrial distribution industry in Latin America is preferred.
• 4-6 years sales and marketing experience in the Latin American market.
• Experience in the Latin American meat/fish/deli distribution industry, or experience in the Latin American food equipment, supplies distribution industry or wood/industrial distribution segments.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including preparing bids and “Solution Selling” communications to customers.
• Complete fluency in Spanish and English language to include verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
• Strong math and analytical skills to be able to calculate margins and prepare bid proposals.
• Ability to use and interface the company's IS systems, including writing and utilizing queries from the Visual Management system (with training from company). Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power point.
• Able to work well under time pressures and deadlines
