Controller
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Responsible for Supervising Payroll, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, taxes and costs.
• Responsible to Import/Export Area. As well as the coordination and attention of internal and external auditors and tax authorities.
• Provide accurate and timely accounting as well as reports such as plant reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures established by the SEC and GAAP.
• Development, preparation, analysis and review at the managerial staff level the actual and forecasted financial results of the operation plant.
• Responsible for taking care of the company's assets and their proper use by developing and maintaining an effective internal control system.
• Evaluate the activities of the plant and make recommendations to improve the utilities of the plant.
• Development, analysis and presentation of the AOP monthly reports for management staff.
• Coordinate and supervise the budget process to ensure that planned spending and capital investments are achieved.
• Preparation of the general report of expenses of the company on a weekly basis.
•Develop and carry out financial systems.
• Support to managers in the development and interpretation of financial and non-financial measures
• Working with Mexico and US regulations regarding labor and trade compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/ABILITY REQUIRED:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
•Minimum ten (10) years of progressive experience in accounting.
•Experience in the Maquiladora environment preferably
•Well-developed administrative and management skills
•Knowledge in accounting and finance related to the Industry Maquiladora de Exportation.
•Experience in Import/Export
•Knowledge of US-GAAP
•Knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP's (SAP, etc)
•Advanced Excel skills (ability to work with lookup and pivot tables).
•Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
