Technical Manager


Provide manufacturing support to Molding and Assembly Departments Key contributor to continuous improvement projects. Selection training, guidance and development of facility’s technical team. Improving OEE performance (up time, throughput, scrap), Capital project planning, budgeting and management. Key contributor APQP and Launch Activities.

Required Background: BS in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Min 10-12 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in mid-volume mixture of automation and manual operations, 5+ years of engineering leadership experience in a manufacturing environment,Demonstrated progressive track record of engineering leadership accomplishments.

Required Skills: Experience with tooling and mold design for Class A fabrication, Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Proficiency with Value Stream Mapping, 5S, FMEA, Control Plans, and Root Cause Analysis, Experience with automated and robotic assembly fixtures, Advanced mechanical aptitude, Highly developed planning, problem solving, and decision making skills, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Ability to lead high performing work teams, Experience with capital project development and budget administration, Experience in TS16949 or ISO9001 systems. Hands on approach to leadership, results oriented, Strong analytical skills, Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter, independent but able to function in a team environment, Compression molding and/or composites molding (RTM, DCPD, DLFT) experience, Ability to travel approximately 10%, Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project management tool, GD&T knowledge and understanding, Six Sigma Green Belt or higher. Expert in the molding of composites or plastics both in terms of the process and the materials.
