Plant Manager-Welding


BS degree in Industrial, Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering degree. Lead EH&S activities and be the chairman in the EHSLT.
Assure that shop keeps the highest level of focus on workers & employees safety, as well as environmental protection. Assure compliance with Company’s policies and procedures as well as directing the creation of new policies and procedures when necessary.
Coordinate all department operations, resolving inter-department problems and providing optimum utilization of facilities.
•Manage company’s resources, promote and encourage the optimization of human, material and technical resources in order to improve productivity and achieve previously established goals.
•Develop and maintain budgets.
•Maintains maximum employee morale and advantageous community relations.
•Direct capital projects by recognizing needs, justifying the purchases and overseeing the implementation of new equipment.
•Maintain awareness for new methods and procedures to improve overall Plant’s safety, quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
•Establish and maintain most suitable working hours to conform to local practices.
•Consult legal counsel and operation’s management concerning labor matters.
•Assists in establishment of and modification to personnel and other Company policies.
•Direct administrative duties such as hiring and discharging Plant’s employees.
•Approving hourly wage increases and re-classifications, recommending non-exempt and exempt salary increases and bonuses.
•Plan for changes in operation to maintain maximum utilization of facilities and obtain efficient output.
•Assure compliance with local laws and regulations.
•Assure high quality products, complying with the policies described in the Company Quality Management Manual, customer and company specifications.
•Approve procurement of necessary items up to a specified amount and assists in purchase of equipment above that amount.
•Maintain positive relations with internal and external customers.
•Assure maintenance of schedules and shipping dates.
•Challenges: conclude process implementation and policies.

Union negotiations experience a plus. 5+ years Plant Management experience. Prior experience in a low volume high mix facility is a plus. Bilingual – English and Spanish, Entrepreneur mindset/Flexible to adapt to changing conditions, Knowledge in boiler design and/or pressure parts manufacturing a plus, with strong knowledge in Welding a must. Made to Order fabrication experience preferred. Excellent interaction with US customers, Clients, Auditors, etc., Experience building high performance teams, Facilities Management, Driven by objectives and results, Mentoring Attitude and lead by example.

Trust worthy with a history of a high level of ethics, Negotiation skills with internal and external customers to manage priorities. Ability to establish strategy and hold resources accountable to deliver results
Effective leadership skills with the ability to delegate authority and responsibilities, Proven leader with examples of past success, Passion to develop human resources, Open communicator with the ability to speak with all levels of the organization. Outgoing personality/ Motivator.

Salary: Depends on experience -Salary + Bonus
